It is interesting when the best few hours of my day are spent in front of the glow of my 25" dual monitors, listening to Groove Salad at 1:40 in the morning. One monitor is covered with a variety of social media apps open. Talking right now in real time with three people about a wide range of topics. (The song is perfect right now, VESSEL by: Jon Hopkins, I am going to also go on Demonoid and download some of this guys music.)

I consider myself a media junkie. Media of all forms I am Book junkie above and beyond all other media. I am a writer first and foremost, so books have always been my one and only passion. Everything else seems to dissipate over time but not my obsession for books.

This passion also extends into all forms of fiction and non-fiction top among these is serious TV, the kind of TV I mean by serious will soon be discussed in its own post very soon.

Also being a movie theater employee as a day job, and loving film since a very early age and getting serious in the study of it as an art form in my mid high school years. I took a Cultural Studies Course that still to this day influences my day to day life.

I am also an avid role player, computer gamer, and now working on programming a piece of Interactive Fiction which will also be discussed at length in the near future. It is my current project and one I intend to share here.

Some one asked me tonight what I thought about the book American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, now I thin it is such an amazing novel, and also I am HUGE fan of all Easton's work and found myself wanting to explain my feelings about the book but found myself wanting to explain Easton's style and then to do that I figured I had to just stat from the beginning and explain all of Easton's books and why I think he is such a great author.

After an unknown amount of time I had ranted about all his books and felt very good afterwards, almost like an after-sex glow. Then I realized it was like a high from enlightening someone about something and that it was really good b/c it was about books and that it what I have to teach the world.

So I go home and started doing it again with two different people and it felt good and decided that I needed to write this down and start this blog. Now I have the blog address and temporary layout so I can publish this tonight at least.

I know its rough but that is the life of being a junkie.
